Design Entry 9: Reflecting on WP2 (in-class; no word count)
In this entry, please take some time to reflect on the second writing project of the course. I’d like you to focus on the relation between your research, the schema, your understanding of the genre, and your individual composition.
Below are some questions to generate reflection. As always, feel free to address any or all of them:
- How did the schema figure in your writing process (how did you use it)?
- Did you find that the schema your group devised helped you or hindered you? In what ways (did you feel guided, constrained, normal, etc.)?
- Are there specific aspects of writing in XML that are difficult for you?
- Were there particular readings that helped you better understand or research your genre?
- This project had a lot of aspects, including both group and individual work—what did you find most useful to you for developing your understanding of writing?
- What did you think went well for you in this project? What was difficult?
- If you could change something about the assignment, what would it be?
